The Line covers, Port Harcourt, Aba, Enugu, Otupko, Igumale, Markudi, Kafanchan, Kuru, Bauchi, Gombe and Maiduguri.

The successful rehabilitation of the western rail line from Lagos to Kano is immensely aiding the movement of goods and Passengers, as the administration of Jonathan Goodluck is arranging for move New trains to decongest the existing ones.

In a related development, the Administration has approves $1.488bn for Lagos-Ibadan double track railway modernisation project to put a stop to frequent accidents on that road, while the road repair works is going on as scheduled.
This lines terminal includes Lagos, Abeokuta, Ibadan, Oshogbo, Illorin and will extend to Nyaya, Minna, Abuja and Kaduna.

For quite a while, Mr President has given a lot of attention to the transport sector, particularly the development of the railways and the progress is a bit far ahead of initial plans.
